Master's Swim: 2,950M. I have read a number of articles by "runner's" who state that swimming is not a good means of fitness for runners. I do not believe this. I don't believe you can replace running with swimming, but as a recovery or cross training day, my fitness levels are higher than any run day. I think it is an individual preference and each runner should incorporate into the training cross training that works best for them.
