Master's swim this morning.  3,400M.  Not the best workout.  The sets were mundane and lacked creativity.  Spoke to Darrin about the workout.  Weights again at lunch.  Plan on 4X's a week on weight training for 8 weeks, prior to NYC Marathon training.

Ran with Laura.  We ran the Saunders Loop.  It was so dark in areas that we kept bumping into each other.  Good run.  The effort was a little forced with the heart rate increased.  Stretched at home before heading to work.

5 mile recovery run.  Have been hitting a lot of hills so I asked Laura to meet me at LTF.  We ran the 5 on the treadmill at a light pace.  Trying to show Laura that stretching is an important part of the run as well.  We spent 15 minutes stretching.  Lunchtime will consist of weight on the lower body.

8 miles with Ann Marie and Evan.  Averaged 7:50's for 7 miles.  The last mile I peeled off and ran a cool down.  Legs were a little fried after the hills on this course.

Went up to Mountain City, GA and ran the Warrior Dash with a bunch of friends.  My heart rate was max'd and legs felt fried.  Not use to the speed and VO2 feeling coming off of Boston.  I have some work to do to get some speed back.

Master's Swim: 2,950M.  I have read a number of articles by "runner's" who state that swimming is not a good means of fitness for runners.  I do not believe this.  I don't believe you can replace running with swimming, but as a recovery or cross training day, my fitness levels are higher than any run day.  I think it is an individual preference and each runner should incorporate into the training cross training that works best for them.
