| Last race before Boston. Ran the Dirty Spokes 6.5 Mile trail run with Hokan. Great race, very difficult terrain. Single track. Was in AT all the time. Never could settle down. Took first in AG. Hokan took 4th. Will do some more of these races this summer. Great change of pace to get off the road for a while. |

| Last long run. I met Ann Marie at the Waffle House. I had already ran 7.25 miles. She had a 3 mile tempo run at 7:35's. We finished, talked a few minutes and I made it back to my original starting point. I was supposed to run 17, but it turned out to be just a bit more. Oh, quads were fried the whole way from the trail race the day before. |

The temperature last night at 10PM was 75 degrees. Tornado warnings, heavy rain, wind, lightning brought the temps down to 40 degrees at 6AM. The wind was blowing so hard that the car was being blown around while driving to the gym. I decided to bag the outdoor run for the treadmill. Though the run was uneventful, it sure beat trying to fight a 50 MPH head wind. |

| 4:45AM. Ran with Laura on a 7 mile recovery run. Laura is turning into a good running partner for me. First thing, she is reliable. Second, she is very efficient on the downhills (which I need help with) and third, she keeps the conversation going. After Boston we are going to plan the next series of races in the summer and fall. I got an automatic entry into the NYC Marathon so that will be my fall race. Laura is looking at the Savannah Marathon in November as well. That will match up right for training together. |

| Wow! What a race! The experience in running this race this year was very important to me. This year my wife, sister and 13 friends ran the Boston Marathon. The day was perfect, the crowds were awesome. My wife and sister qualified for 2012 as well! To have been able to be in Boston with my wife and family and friends made this a special day that I will never forget. |
